Dude! this was the coolest wedding yet. The “Star Date” was August 20 2010. And here is the story…… A couple Katherine & Graham calls us up from a Cruise Ship somewhere in the middle of the Caribbean where Graham is a musician playing trumpet and Katherina a uber-flexible dancer. They were mentioning a referral to HanaFoto and that they LOVE our work and would like to meet for a consultation – 2 weeks before the wedding date. We tentatively held the date for them and it all panned out! A rockin’ & relaxed intimate wedding in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Yes, yours truly Banff, hosted the perfect venue for this spectacle. Well, mother nature played her share of tricks on us – the day started with a 500m visibility due to forest fires in BC and low fog – the mountains were – well they were not there! and they came all the way from the Caribbean to the Rockies to get married! Luckily it all pretty much cleared up by the time for the ceremony at 3 pm. There were 12 family/guests attending and the HanaFoto Ninjas documenting it. Bruce Adlington led a beautiful and down to earth ceremony followed be some flag waving! Katherine is Australian and met Graham on the Cruise Ship – so it was a Canadiano-Australian wedding – and get this! her sister Anna flew out from Australia to be the ultimate Bridesmaid – how cool is that?!
It gives me the chilzzzz as I am going through the images and how cool this couple was. It is good to know how important photography was to them. I wish all brides would give us minimum of 3.5 hours for pictures and put all aside to get the most thrilling experience with HanaFoto.
